WEDDING DAY COVERAGE ADVICE GUIDE

How many hours of coverage do I need?

The short answer -- it depends on how important details (clothing details, ceremony and reception decorations), dancing and exit coverage is to you. Also how big your wedding party and families are and how long your ceremony will last.

Here is a general timeline breakdown for wedding coverage:

30 - 45 minutes for clothing/accessory details (dress/suit, jewelry, shoes, invitations, wedding rings, etc) - The more details, the longer it will take to photograph them.

30 minutes - 1.5 hours for getting ready photos - It will take longer for one photographer to bounce between partner 1 and partner 2.

15 minutes for a first look

15 - 45 minutes for wedding party photos - It will take longer if your wedding party is large or if done separately pre-ceremony.

30 minutes for venue details and decorations - You are usually hidden away during this time before the ceremony!

30 minutes - 1 hour for ceremony photos

30 - 45 minutes for family formals - It will take longer for larger families or many different groupings.

15 - 30 minutes for couple portraits

30 - 45 minutes for introduction and dinner

45 minutes - 1 hour for reception events (toasts, cake cutting, first dances)

1 - 3 hours for dancing photos

15 minutes for exit photos

Timing varies depending on number of photographers so if you have a question or need help determining how much time you need feel free to ask!
