I’m Marisa. A cheeseburger lovin' native Texan. A little lady who will capture wonderful moments for you (on my tip toes 90% of the time) and will smile at you a lot in hopes that it will make you smile too. :)
I first picked up a camera as a teenager and I haven't been able to put them down since. I've always loved documenting my own life through pictures so I want to help others do the same!
In college I studied photojournalism at the University of Texas -- HOOK 'EM HORNS 🤘🏽 -- and worked for The Daily Texan. I was photographing anything and everything when I discovered that love stories were my favorite story to tell. Now I’ve been shooting weddings for over 10 years and loving it.
When I’m not photographing weddings, I love to travel with my husband Kalen. Portland, New York, Seattle and San Diego are some of our favorite places we’ve been. We got married on 01.20.19 (our 8 year dating anniversary) and it was one of the most incredible experiences of our lives! Marriage is the best. When we’re home we spend a lot of time watching thrilling crime shows, laughing at memes, and loving on our fur baby Curly Fry.
THINGS I’M A BIG FAN OF: traveling to new places, cool crisp weather, strawberry margaritas, flowers, traditional tattoos, string lights, historic buildings, velvet & leather (but not together), cool typography, family vacations, all the ridiculously good food places in Austin, date nights, movie theater popcorn, crime shows, and HGTV.

I want your wedding day to be a fantastic experience for both of you and for your wedding photos to reflect that! My style is a mix of photojournalism and editorial photography. I photograph your day organically and naturally as it happens to capture those genuine moments and emotions but I will also help pose you for formal portraits and style the details to make sure everything looks great. From lighting and timeline advice to help guide you into having the best photos possible to laughing and crying with you during those special moments -- I love being a part of it all and helping make this experience the best it can be. I'm also very passionate about inclusivity and diversity. I photograph ALL types of weddings and my services are available to anyone.
